Spencer D. West is an equity partner, shareholder and co-founder of the law firm of Mitchell & West, L.L.C. He specializes in the area of Family Law. Mr. West is licensed to practice law in Florida and Massachusetts, including all Florida Federal Courts, and the United States Supreme Court.

Prior to attending college, Mr. West served his country in the United States Army for three years as a Finance Specialist. He then earned his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University in Boston in 1997 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston in 2001.

After graduating from Law school Mr. West served nearly two years in the public service sector as an Assistant Public Defender for the Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office before working at some of Florida's leading law firms, including Wicker, Smith, O'Hara McCoy, Graham & Ford, P.A. in Miami and subsequently at a prestigious Texas based litigation firm in Broward County. Mr. West has extensive trial experience throughout Florida's State and Federal Courts and has been counsel on many high-profile cases. Mr. West is routinely sought out by clients and other lawyers for his extensive expertise and dedication to fighting for his clients.

To date, Mr. West has tried countless cases to conclusion and has been awarded the designation of Super Lawyers. Mr. West dedicates his practice to fighting for his clients going through divorce, military divorce, custody, child support, relocation, modification, paternity, and domestic violence disputes. He has assisted many professional clients including, but not limited to, doctors, lawyers, accountants and retired professional athletes with their high asset divorces and other disputes as well as with drafting custom pre and post nuptial agreements.

Mr. West is an aggressive litigator who devotes himself to achieving the best results for his individual clients, while maintaining the highest ethical standards of professionalism. Mr. West actively represents clients in both Florida and Massachusetts.
