Setareh "Star" Panah attended California State University, Northridge where she received her B.A. in Psychology. She gradated cum laude.

Star then attended Oklahoma City University School of Law at the age of 20 where she received her Juris Doctor degree by the time she was 23 years old. At the same time, she obtained a Certificate in Client Representation in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Negotiation, Mediation, and Arbitration) under the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. She also received a CALI Award for highest grade in Client Representation in Arbitration.

During law school, Star's activities included Community Service Committee Chair of Phi Alpha Delta and involvement in a Divorce Docket Project working with experienced attorneys and Judges on Family Law cases. She also "clerked" her way through law school for 2 years, and worked for Legal Aid. Star then moved back to Los Angeles where she successfully passed the California bar exam, and joined Jay Devitt Law Firm 6 years ago.

In addition to practicing Family Law, Star has experience in Immigration Law (mainly family-based petitions and naturalization)  as well Criminal Law.

Star is also fluent in Farsi.
