Marie Sarantakis is the founding attorney of North Shore Law Group, Ltd., a boutique family law firm with offices located in the Chicago suburbs. Prior to beginning her own practice, Ms. Sarantakis served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Thomas L. Kilbride of the Illinois Supreme Court and law clerk for the family law practice of Umberto S. Davi, P.C. She interned with both the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office and Public Defender's Office.
 
Ms. Sarantakis is a cum laude graduate of The John Marshall Law School (16') and a member of The John Marshall Law Review. She achieved academic distinction earning three CALI Awards, for the highest grades in her class, in constitutional law, evidence, and white collar crime. As President, she headed the law school's Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, the Justinian Society, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society.
 
Ms. Sarantakis is the incoming Co-Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyers Committee Family Law Section, Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Law Student Division, and as an appointed member of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD). She is the editor of, and frequent contributor to, ISBA and ABA newsletters. Ms. Sarantakis is also a Young Professionals Board Member of the Illinois Lawyers' Assistance Program and Illinois Legal Aid Online.
