Jonathan D. Marks is a partner with The Marks Law Firm, L.L.C., with offices in Creve Coeur and O'Fallon, Missouri.  Mr. Marks focuses his practice on a broad spectrum of family law litigation matters in both state and federal courts. He also handles trials and appeals in cases involving divorce, high-asset divorce, child custody and visitation, support, property division and other matters. Having litigated numerous family law cases on behalf of individuals in the St. Louis and St. Charles communities, Mr. Marks is a Fellow of the Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and is a Board Certified, Family Trial Law Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.  Mr. Marks has received many honors for his legal acumen and record of success, including being listed in The Best Lawyers in America, recognized by The Nation's Top One Percent, AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, and by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as one of the state's Up & Coming Lawyers in 2008.

Mr. Marks is a lecturer on family law and litigation subjects and spoke most recently at the 38th Annual Bench and Bar Conference and the 2015 American Bar Association Fall Family Law Conference.  He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Mr. Marks earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, graduating with dean's list honors in 1993. In 1997, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, where he received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for his achievements in the respective disciplines of communication law and mediation. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Missouri and Illinois and all U.S. District Courts in both states as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
