Adam H. Tanker, an Associate at MacElree Harvey, Ltd focuses his practice on all aspects of family law matters including alimony/spousal support, divorce, equitable distribution, marital agreements, child support and child custody.

Mr. Tanker, who also serves as a child advocate and guardian for the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Project, is a former Deputy District Attorney for the Bucks County District Attorney's office. From 2008 to 2012, he was assigned to the office's gangs, guns and drug unit and acted as the office's community liaison for gang violence. His work later earned him a promotion to chief of the department's asset forfeiture unit.

As an undergraduate at The George Washington University, Mr. Tanker interned with the U.S. Attorney's Office and assisted with the investigation and prosecution of the infamous "D.C. Snipers." He also interned with Congressman Rob Andrews and assisted on projects related to the then newly formed Department of Homeland Security.

After graduating from George Washington with a degree in criminal justice, Mr. Tanker went on to earn his juris doctor from Widener University School of Law, where he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team.

Before joining Williams Family Law, Mr. Tanker worked at a Montgomery County, Pa. law firm where he focused his practice on family law, criminal defense and commercial litigation.

Over the past nearly 10 years, Mr. Tanker has earned a reputation as one of Pennsylvania's most promising young attorneys. He has a "Superb" rating from Avvo, Suburban Life magazine included him among the area's top attorneys in 2015 and he has been named a 2016 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer "Rising Star." In addition, he is a regular guest speaker at legal functions on a variety of family law topics.

Mr. Tanker is not only active in the courtroom but also in the legal community. He is a member of a number of organizations, including the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, The Montgomery Bar Association, the Bucks County Bar Association and The Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court.
